Collective Kitchen
A collective kitchen is a group of people who come together to pool their knowledge, skills and efforts in order to prepare healthy, economical and tasty meals. This allows participants to share the costs, discover new cooking techniques, ingredients and recipes, and leave with their portion of prepared meals.
At MAM, we may have several groups that meet at different frequencies and have different interests. Each group is autonomous and decides on its own priorities, the rhythm of its meetings and the recipes it will prepare.
The MAM offers support to each group which includes:
- An animation adapted to the group,
- The purchase of ingredients,
- The material and equipment necessary for the preparation
- The meeting space in our MAM kitchen.
Groups operate on a small monetary contribution basis. The amount to contribute per serving is pre-established by each group (example: $5 per serving). The MAM undertakes to assume the costs not covered by the contributions of the participants.
